BETHUNE-COOKMAN UNIVERSITY BOARD OF TRUSTEES ELECTS NEW LEADERSHIP
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (February 11, 2025) – Bethune-Cookman University (B-CU) proudly announces the election of its new Board of Trustees leadership.
During the January meeting, Pete Gamble was voted Chairman of the Board and Jeff Branch was selected as Vice Chair. The other newly sworn in officers include: Jennifer Adams as Secretary; John Crossman as Chaplain; and Deveron Gibbons as Parliamentarian.
The transition of Board leadership marks a continued commitment to advancing the university’s goals while addressing the opportunities and challenges of higher education in the 21st century.
“It’s an honor to be part of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune’s legacy,” said Gamble. “Not only should her vision guide us in service but unite our Wildcat Nation to ensure that B-CU thrives as a beacon of hope, knowledge and opportunity for generations to come.”
While administrators call on alumni, students, faculty and staff to rally together in support of the institution’s initiatives, leaders extend their gratitude to the outgoing Board Chair, the Honorable Judge Belvin Perry for his many years of steadfast service.
“Judge Perry’s tenure has been one of integrity and deep love for Bethune-Cookman University,” added Dr. William Berry, Acting President. “His leadership inspires us all and his contributions will have lasting impact for future Wildcats.”
