GOODWILL HOSTS “SHOE THE WORLD DAY” EVENT ON MARCH 15
Shoe Donations Provide a Step in the Right Direction
On Tues., March 15, Goodwill Industries of Central Florida invites the community to celebrate “Shoe the World Day” by donating shoes to benefit neighbors across Central Florida. The day sheds light on the importance of and need for quality footwear for millions of people worldwide who can't afford or don't have access to it.
Anyone interested in donating gently used shoes and sneakers can do so at their local Goodwill store or Donation Xpress Center. Hours of operation are as follows:
9 a.m. – 8 p.m. at retail stores
8 a.m. – 7 p.m. at Donation Xpress Centers (Monday – Saturday)
8 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Donation Xpress Centers (Sunday)
Donations allow Goodwill to provide low-cost goods to the community while also providing resources and jobs to Central Floridians. Revenue generated through sales of these donated items fund the organization’s job placement and training services, as well as its vocational rehabilitation program.
