It's the skill set every employer is looking for in a team member, and yet few high school or college level curricula can include it in their coursework...Soft Skills.
The Soft Skills Youth Summit was created to provide high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to connect with local business leaders in a fun, fast, and engaging format, and provide student attendees with an introduction to five in-demand employability skills:
Students participate in five conversations on these topics with area business leaders in a speed networking style format. Following the soft skills information sessions, students are able to hear from a community leader with a keynote style presentation as well as a tour of the host facility. The event concludes with a catered lunch designed to allow students and business mentors to engage in more in-depth conversations around soft skills and other career exploration topics.
